Mission
Supporting Japan's energy business from the supply side
In the resilient battery storage infrastructure business we are advancing in Japan, procurement capability, product quality and delivery times translate directly into the speed of the business. In July 2026, BITEX established a local subsidiary in Ningde, Fujian Province, where the CATL-KSTAR mega factory is located, and shifted to a structure in which procurement, inspection, import/export and logistics are managed in-house under a single point of control. The role of this company is to connect the manufacturing floor directly with construction sites in Japan, without going through trading houses.

Functions
Six functions
A structure in which responsibility never changes hands between procurement and final delivery in Japan.
International procurement
Direct procurement from Chinese manufacturers including CATL-KSTAR. We source component parts individually — cells, PCS, EMS, enclosures and cabling — and combine them to match the design specified in Japan.
Proximity to our manufacturing partner
Our office is located in the immediate vicinity of the CATL-KSTAR mega factory, close enough to handle specification changes, defect responses and witness inspections within the same day.
Quality control and pre-shipment inspection
We maintain a local inspection system that makes acceptance decisions at the level the Japanese market demands. Appearance, dimensions, insulation, capacity and charge/discharge performance are all verified before shipment, and the records are shared with our team in Japan.
Import/export and customs clearance
We hold an import/export agency license and handle customs clearance, certificates of origin, and packing and transport arrangements for dangerous goods (lithium-ion batteries) entirely in-house.
Inventory and logistics
We combine advance ordering based on demand forecasts with ocean freight via Ningde and the Port of Shanghai, adjusting arrival timing to match installation schedules in Japan.
Technical liaison and local point of contact
We handle specification coordination with manufacturers' engineering departments, and negotiate the design changes required for compliance with Japanese regulations (the Fire Service Act (Japan), the Electricity Business Act and the Building Standards Act), working in both Japanese and Chinese.

Ningde is the city where CATL (Contemporary Amperex Technology), the world's largest manufacturer of automotive lithium-ion batteries, has its headquarters and main plants. The industrial cluster for cells, materials, jigs and logistics falls within a radius of a few dozen kilometres.
Shorter procurement lead times
Because the sources of components and the assembly processes are close together, specification changes and additional orders are reflected quickly, allowing us to keep pace with schedule changes in Japan.
Visibility into the cost structure
Dealing directly with manufacturers gives us a clear breakdown of material, processing and logistics costs. We can pursue price negotiations and cost improvements on our own judgement.
